Why Russian food is not popular?

Question by : Why nobody likes Russian food?
Many people go to Italian, French and Chinese restaurants, but Russian restaurants are not popular at all around the world.

Why nobody likes Russian food?

Is it too greasy? Too much mayo? Or it does not taste good?

Even Russians always go to fast food places. Why is that?

Try Chinese food; we didn’t like Russian food much in St. Petersburg, so we went to the neighborhood MCDONALD’S, and had the best meal of our time there!

Well, I like Russian food, just like it is actually delicious unlike American food.
As for fat.
Well, why do Americans are fat? While Russians are very beautiful people?

Well, Russian food is not good for romantics, Russian food doesn’t look… exotic. Russians go to fastfood because they are tired of their native food. That’s why.

Uh no we dont. Id take a home made borsch or pelmeni over a crappy, processed mcdonalds burger meat any day of the week.

Well, Russians don’t go to ‘Russian’ restaurants because they cook and eat Russian food themselves. Why not try something different when you are going out?

You are wrong. Dozens millions Russians ADORE Russian food. And cook it at home. Including if they migrate outside Russia. Otherwise there would no be so many Russian stores in places where migrants from Russia and former USSR live.

but 90% of all restaurants in this world have russians as cooks or as cook teachers.
Strange, yeah?
