Question by Bride2Be: I want to visit my husbands home country of Russia, But will it cost a fortune?
My husband grew up in Irkutsk Siberia and left his beloved country of Russia at the age 11. He is now 23 and married. I would love to go see were my husband grew up,what was it like living in Communist Russia etc. But he only has 2 weeks vacation and I don’t want to spend a fortune going there. Does anyone have any Ideas? He has not seen his family for over 12 years !

I”m not sure what kind of answer you are looking for. You would generally need to go there to see how he grew up and to see his family… unless we can teleport, u will need to travel there, and going into Siberia can be expensive as you have mentioned. It would be too costly to bring them all out to America or wherever you are residing. 2 weeks really isn’t worth the effort… all i can think of is that he builds up his holidays and you go visit for at least a month. In the mean time try doing a family video conference or something? I don’t know what the technology is like in Siberia, but i’m guessing not too good. It wasn’t very nice living in a Communist Russia.
But yeah… maybe collect up holiday time and then go for the 4 weeks… that’s the best I can think of where it would be worth your while? Sorry I couldn’t help more.

You might try asking this question in the travel section. Option 2 would be to google for the cost of air fare.
