You can certainly study Linguistics in a Russian University. Usually it is called Applied Linguistics and is the program preparing Translators and Interpreters in various languages. Among the subjects studied are: Theory of Translation, Analytical Translation, Administrative and Legal Translation, Theoretical Grammar, Simultaneous Translation Techniques, Translator’s Professional Ethics and Diplomatic Protocol, Stylistics, Lexicology, Morphology and Phraseology, Latin, etc. Moscow State University and Saint Petersburg State University are some of the best.
