Gorbachev did not bring about the dissolution of the USSR.The economy was bankrupt after years of trying to compete with the US militarily.He realized that the end was near and that it was inevitable.he should be congratulated for his policies of perestroika and glasnost that brought the cold war to an end without nuclear armageddon.
