Question by Morgan: What’s your favorite Traditional Russian Folk Song?
Don’t search the web and give me your results. If you don’t know the music, didn’t grow up with it, or at least study it academically, etc, please don’t answer. I like genuine responses, not santized searches. I can do that myself.

Hi! I’m Russian, but your question is a little bit difficult, because i use these songs very rarely.
Here are some songs, that are very popular and every russian person should now them: “Ой мороз, мороз! / Oi, moroz, moroz” (i sometimes sing it, when it’s cold or when i’m sad), “Валенки / Valenki ” (it’s very funny, i like it), “Во поле береза стояла / Vo pole bereza stoyala”, “Калинка / Kalinka”, “Вот кто-то с горочки спуcтился / Vot kto-to s gorochki spustilsya” and others.
My father’s favorite song is “Раз, два, люблю тебя / Raz,dva, lyublyu tebya”.
And another very popular and beautiful song is “Напилася я пьяна / Napilasya ya pyana” (i often began to sing it when i’m drunk a little).
Hope, i helped!
