Does the gulag still exist? I saw it in call of duty modern warfare 2 and was wondering, If it is still there how is it used.

I’ve heard of it, it’s like a prison camp right?
If I heard it from my Platoon leader it has to be true, he’s not allowed to lie.

Gulag is the name for the Soviet Union work camps/reeducation camps. Such camps do exist in other countries such as China and North Korea, but they aren't called Gulags.
