Question by Emily500cc: Driving to vladivostok?
Hi, I’m thinking of going on a road trip across russia after reading a book by the Raven brothers called ‘The Linger Longer: Driving the Trans-Siberian’. If anyone has driven the Amur Highway, or can give me any advise it would be gratefully appreciated??

hiya, read the same book. Completely awesome!! I did the trans-siberian too a few years ago.Thinking about driving myself. Maybe we can go half on the petrol?? lol. I think it must be a lot easier now the highway is finished. Woyuld like to check out the old road the brothers drove too though – sounds like you get to see the real villages off deep in siberia. Would love to find the wishing tree too that they signed somewhere in the wilderness past chita. I think a 4×4 might be needed, although the brothers did it in a ford sierra lol. I think this trip would make a great rally.
