How do current Russian cars perform in crash tests?

Question by Zelman: How do current, Russian cars, like GAZ/ Volga, Lada perform in crash tests?
Nobody seems to talk much about them these days, but the Russians are making some nifty cars, some of which I really wouldn’t mind owning – stuff with V8s, 4x4s, you name it.
Are they doing crash tests in Russia, too, I wonder?

Russian economy cars have always tended to be built like tanks. I think you wont be disappointed in this area.
