How long were the antennas on Sputnik?

Question by machman4: How long were the antennae on Sputnik I?
Doing a history project shaped like Sputnik at half scale.
Dang, even at half the antennae are over 4 feet long. I might have to rethink this. It just has to be about Sputnik, but I thought it would be cool to have a scale poster shaped like it.
