If you are into museums, that seeing Hermitage along might take a week
And don't forget surroundings like Tsarskoe Selo (Pushkin), Petergof, Catherine Palace
I say, 2 weeks.
I suggest you go in June so you can enjoy White nights phenomena

most tourists go for a week or even less.
to see it well you need at least 2-3 weeks.

Including every thing in Hermitage? – Decades.
Honestly, it's up to you. Different people manage their personal schedules, time… differently. On average I'd say it takes 3-5 weeks (+ Peterhof and Tsarskoe Selo/Pushkin – one can not miss these two).
