How much is to rent an apartment in Moscow Russia?

Question by d’Artagnan: How much does an apartment in Moscow Russia cost?
For a native Russian person who is renting an apartment in Moscow, is single, and looking into long term how much would the rent be? I have heard there are different apartment styles: Soviet, middle and remodeled. What is the difference?
For someone who is not a foreigner and is a native russian and renting in Moscow how much is the rent? I have heard rental prices go up for foreigners.

There are very a lot scounfrels?theefs? in this sphere. The two flat in center is 50 000 rubles (2000 dollars) in month and for all.(it is remodeled) On eddge of Moscow is 15 000 rubles one box?( 500 dollars) in month.(simpliest one room!) For such prices even me can rent half of mine flat to you.

  1. polynesian says

A Soviet-style ‘studio’ (1 living room plus a small kitchen) will cost 20-25,000 RUR per month, quite far from the centre. So called ‘Euro’-renovated newer apartments can have no limit – the closer to the centre the more expensive.

p.s. one of my buddies was renting out an apartment to a foreigner in Moscow some time ago and made no difference, but some ppl may think differently
