RFMH says
That damn thing is going to be around for a long time. Hell it's still the best assault rifle in the world right now. Too much of a good thing like that is hard to let go.
George says
Until some one invents a good rail gun.
Fredfredbug4 says
Until someone makes something cheaper and more reliable the AK-47 will be the weapon of choice for millions of people around the globe.
dizzle says
The AK-47 is an insanely well designed weapon. Until something easier to produce and more reliable comes around, I imagine it will be in wide use. The M16 is based on the AK.

As long as the Taliban and Russia are around
Mike L says
itll be around as long as any quality gun, like someone just said the 1911 just hit 100. now the ak 47 is one of the most reliable, sturdy and consistant assault rifles around, so my guess, a long long long time
Karle says
well the 1911 just hit 100 years and is stronger than ever…u do the math..
Grateful Civilian says

Brian says
indefinitely, as long as firearms are aound.
Sharp says
The saying goes if its not broken dont fix it………….. since this is a cheap, reliable, and effective weapon, it will be around for a very long time.
