Question by Jules: How much would a trip to Nakhodka Russia cost?
I have family that I would like to visit in Nakhodka and I was wondering how much the plane ticket and housing and food would cost. Also, how much would a translator cost per day? I’m working on learning Russian so that I know it when I visit, but I might not be fluent enough. Oh, and Nakhodka is in the far east . It is near Vladivostok.
Oops, sorry! I am planning on traveling from either Illinois or South Carolina in the U.S. I’ll be living in one of those states when I visit.

only two real ways to get to Nakhodka, first by air to Artyom from Moscow (the airport is Knevichi) and hire a cab to take you to Nakhodka. Secondly is by train to the East from Moscow.
Costs: Figure about $ 350 to $ 600 airfare from Moscow depending on the time of year you go. And an extra $ 150 for cab from the airport and another $ 150 coming back (it's a 2-3 hour drive each way depending on when you go).
I honestly have never stayed in Nakhodka, and I'm not sure there is a western type hotel there, the area is really not for tourists. Without speaking Russian, there will be no way to communicate. The area gets cold (I mean cold) in the winter with flights being dropped on a daily basis.
A suggestion, find someone you trust to meet you at the Moscow airport, take the train east (it's not for the weak of heart if you've never taken a Russian train on an extened trip. Or have the person meeting you fly with you to the east. Either way, it's not a trip for a first timer to take alone.
