I would just like to know, how do you think that self esteem was destroyed by Stalin.
Also, i believe that after a while of discrimination and dictatorship, the people became a cult of personalities, would you agree?

Some people think that collectivism destroy self esteem or the incentive to work hard but that is baseless rhetoric. If you join the military is all about team work and collectivism and they all manage to live and execute the hardest job on earth getting the same pay of someone in the same rank all for pride and the collective safety of their country…

When you're told that all the benefits of your hard work and ingenuity are going to your neighbors, it does something to your self esteem.
Seeing all your relatives murdered by the government, leaving you alone in the world doesn't help your morale either.
