If you want to be a Russian Language professor?

Question by Alison J: If you want to be a Russian Language professor, must you major or minor in teaching?
Like if you’ve never spoken Russian before. Would you major in Russian or Education? Also, if you CAN major in Russian, do you HAVE to minor in education?

If you want to be a professor, you don’t have to take any teaching courses at all. All you have to do is get you masters in Russian and pursue further credits. If you want to be a Russian teacher, you would most likely major in Russian and minor or certify in education. In New Jersey, you can’t major in education; you only get your education certification. If your going to teach a specific subject, like math or science, you would have to have a degree in that area, then your teaching certification.

it's hard to answer. but knowledge of teaching is major. if you want to teach Russian language you should freely speak on it but teaching is also important. all rules and other thing about Russian. I'm learning Russian for seven years. it's very hard((((((( so Russian and education must be in equal proportion.
