How about as a scout at the game?

I was there to watch Jack O'Callaghan and while he didn't have a great game (or tournament for that matter) it was euphoric to watch a bunch of guys (who two weeks earlier lost 10-3 at MSG) control the game for the most part.

Did you know that the Winter Olympics have been held in the US 4x. Did you know that in the 4 tournamenst, the US has never finished worse than 2nd?

1932 Silver at Lake Placid
1960 Gold at Squaw Valley (beating the World Champion Russians on the way)
1980 Gold at Lake Placid (the Miracle on Ice)
2002 Silver at Salt Lake City

One other fact about the 1980 US Olympic Team, of all the 'amateur' teams that contested the Olympic Hockey Tournament prior to 1992……..that US team sent more players to the NHL than any other team from any other country in any other year!

It is quite possibly the best non-Soviet Olympic Hockey Team in history
