Is Joseph Stalin the most famous Caucasian in world history?

Question by Phil A: Is Stalin the most famous Caucasian in world history ?
You notice I said Caucasian, not Caucasoid.
The literal meaning of Caucasian means “of the Caucasian Mountains”.
I can’t think of any other famous people from that part of the world.
Maybe President Gorbachev, but he was a Russian from Stavropol on the northern foothills of the Caucasus Mountains. Not sure if that counts as Caucasian ?
Well, not Sarah P.. I do remember her saying she could see Russia from her kitchen window, but I don’t think anyone can see the Caucasus Mountains from Alaska.

Gorbachev certainly doesn't count. So yeah, I'd agree.

Medea, being a Colchidean princess (Colchis is present-day western Georgia), is probably the most famous fictional Caucasian who *may* have had a historical prototype.

Also, there've been famous people of Armenian descent in the world of arts and entertainment: Charles Aznavour, Cher, Serge Tankian.

Probably; I can't think of anyone else there with a tenth his clout.
