Lenin’s organisation – is the Bolshevik party

There was no single opposition to the Bolsheviks but, in order of threat they presented to Lenin’s new regime:
The Whites (a loose collection of anti-Bolshevik armies)
The Mensheviks – A splinter of the same party as the Bolsheviks – very strong in Ukraine & Georgia where they formed independent governments.
The Cadets – Liberal Middle class political party – allied with some White factions
Right Socialist Revolutionaries – the Provisional Government were Right SRs
Greens – A peasant Army in the Black Earth region
Left Socialist Revolutionaries – Allies (it was Left SRs, NOT Bolsheviks who killed the Tsar)

Later oppostiion – the kronstadt sailors – the very sailors who had precipitated the Revolution, rebelled against the new regime – they were decimated.
