Question by Gumby L: Why have I heard that Rasputin was a Vampire?
Where did this myth come from? Have you heard of it? It was news to me when I heard it.

Not true and has no historical pedigree or provenance. I suppose someone was bound to come up with this, given the current craze for vampires. I am just waiting to hear that Elvis Presley was one too.

i dont know who that is but ill guess that maybe he did a lot of cruel, inhuman things and those the peseants descided that he was. then again it wouldnt supprise me if he was..

it came from the fact that it took the russian soldiers so long to kill him they shot him at least thirteen times and each time he got back up laughing and charging at them full force untill they finnally pushed him into an iced over lake and he got back up to the surface so they shot him one more time this time piercing his heart and he died instantly this is all true i dont know if evry detail is right and some of it may be mixed up but they did try sevral difrent tatics to try to kill him that all failed until they shot him through the heart so it must be the whole thing with how they had to pierce a bullet through his heart to kill him kinda like how you have to pirce a vampire through the heart to kill one.
