Question by : What are the most exposed viola parts in Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker?
There are only a couple violas in the orchestra so I’d like to transpose the excerpts for violin so I can play it!

I think you’d better get the director’s permission first. Simply joining in because you want to play would be considered unbelievably rude in any college, professional or semi-professional setting. I can’t imagine that it would go over very well with your director either.

SO… just TRANSPOSE THEM and if you can’t do something THAT simple then you are not a musician.. that is just BASIC STUFF.. I was transposing music on the fly for choirs when I was about 12 years old.. it’s NOT ROCKET SCIENCE it just takes knowledg of MUSIC
