What do i do about the voltage difference in US and Russia?

Question by coyoteru: I’m going to Russia and taking my electronics with me. what do i do about the voltage difference in US and rus?
i’m planning a trip to russia and plan on taking my laptop, phone and other electronics with me. but my friends told me i need to buy something so they wouldn’t get fried because of the voltage difference. what do i need?

you need a voltage converter (220V to 110V) that you can use to power your electronics while in europe. they should sell these at radioshack or some other electronics store.

    Go to Radio Shack or Walmart and get a voltage converter for use in Europe. See link below. Also get a small surge supressor. When you get to Russia plug the strip into the wall socket through the converter, then plug all your American gadgets into the strip. Result: you can plug 6 items in at once, for the cost of one adapter.
