The climate of Moscow is generally dry and mild, though during the year temperatures can range from -30° to +30° Celsius (-20° to +100° Fahrenheit). The first real cold hits Moscow sometime in November and there’s usually snow on the ground from December through March. I midwinter temperatures are between -10° and -5°C (14 – 23°F). The warmest period lasts from mid-June till mid-August with most days around 22°C (72°F), though heatwaves from the south can bring hot days around 32°C (90°F).

It is opposite of mild. Summers are hot and humid, while winters are long and bitterly cold. Your best bet is to travel there in late April or late September, when you will be more or less comfortable to do a lot of site seeing, shopping and anything else your heart desires. Moscow is breathtakingly beautiful, and just as breathtakingly expensive. Do yourself a favor and plan your days according to your own preferences, because no matter how long you will be staying there, you won't have enough time to see most of what this city has to offer. BTW, they have delicious junk food, that is also modestly priced. Believe me, you will have a blast there.

Its almost exactly the same as Toronto Canada. The first answer was completely wrong, its humid continental, the opposite of dry and mild (which is like San Francisco).

According to my Source. The summer months (July and August) are the hottest months with temperatures varying from 45 F to a hot 90 F with Humidity. During the winter though the average temperature is about 30 F the lowest recorded though is -33 F. So pack Warm clothes if your headed there for the winter.
If you go to the source i gave you can find even more detailed information
