If you want ski. Better in Feb. Because in other months it can be too warm for snow,even in the mountains. Feb seems to be a snow month there,i mean mountain resort Krasnaya Polyana(40 km from Sochi)
If you want summer vacation,i think better July. in August too much of people. In Sept starts rains,like 2 weeks. But you still can swim even in Oct,better if its the begining of month.Temperature of water would be 23C.
