Question by MiMi808080: What kind of work did people in the Gulag actually do?
I have a project about this and I look at the websites and they don’t actually have they jobs that they do. Please if you know list the jobs that they do and the websites that you found them

It produced many of the Red Mafia or Russian mob that exists today.
Produced a new hardened generation of Russian criminals and code structure that that Eastern European criminal organizations are still based on today.

I don't know either. What you might try doing is a search on gulag and "personal accounts" or something similar. I'm sure I trashed this spelling, but I believe the book by Sozeniechen was about the Soviet gulag system and probably mentions what was done.

When you find the answer, maybe you can ask a question like, "is anyone interested in what gulag prisoners did" and give a short summary of what you found (I don't believe this violates Yahoo policy – but check first if your in the mind to do it) in the details section. I know I'd like to know.
