What opera song was sang by a Russian woman at the Olympic Closing Ceremonies?

Question by Smile =D: What was the opera song sang by the Russian woman at the Olympic Closing Ceremonies?
She was on top of a sphere and was wearing an elaborate butterfly like costume.
I know that song from somewhere I just can’t remember where!
Thanks

It’s diving me crazy too because it is so familiar…However, the woman singing it is Maria Guleghina I believe.

EDIT:

I found it! The melody comes from Borodin’s opera called Prince Igor (Polovetsian Dances No. 17 b). One vocal version is called “Stranger in Paradise” from the musical Kismet. The anime Rahxephon also used the melody (Garden of Everything – Maaya Sakamoto sings it in Japanese as a sub-melody)

…no wonder it was so familiar…

I think it’s from Scheherazade, but I get Rimsky-Korsakov and Rachmaninoff mixed up a lot.
