Question by dave: What should I see in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk and Tomsk?
I’m going on a trip in Russia which will take me to Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk and Tomsk. Which sights should I not miss? Are there any insider tips you would recommend in any of these cities?
P.S.: I’m back-packing on a students budget, so nothing outrageously expensive please.

there will be plenty of things to see which you can appreciate just by looking at them and not paying to go inside.
try to Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow if you are into cultural things, its beautiful and home of the famous Bolshoi Ballet. Red Square is also an important cultural landmark in moscow, and Pokrovsky Sobor (St. Basil's Cathedral). if you like art try the Pushkin Museum Of Fine Arts.
One good tip I always follow is to look for any discount tourist cards – ones which include sights, travel and other offers. they're a great way to see the main sightes and save money!
