Question by : what story is based on Lots Wife by Anna Akhmatova?
i need to know what story the poem Lots Wife by Anna Akhmatova based on i cant figure it out. please help me if you can :/

I believe this is a reference to the Lot mentioned in the book of Genesis in the Bible. Lot’s wife disobeyed the angel when they were fleeing the city of Sodom (I believe when she turned to look over her shoulder). For this, she was turned into a pillar of salt. You can read the Biblical account in Genesis chapter 19.
