Question by bored: what do you think would happen if the US went to war with Russia?
Our military is currently busy with the Iraq war, and with the recent tension between the US and Russia mounting, do you think we will pull out of Iraq sooner? I personally think China would sit back and let us and Russia fight and weaken our military and then they would pounce on us. What do you think?

Russia would use nukes on us if they were losing badly, and then we would use our nukes on them
adn then other allies of each other would nuke there enemies an we would all die an the planet would be on fire an radiation would kill all other animals

Look everyone, if you are reading this blog…STOP!!! This is an American website, everything will say good things about the US. If this was Russian, it would be saying "Save The Motherland"! P.S. I dont think Russia and America will fight, there is no point.

The one thing that I am sure would happen would be that the fighting would not be restricted to Eurasia like wars of the past.
Another thing I would worry about would be it escalating into a nuclear exchange.
Wouldn't it make more sense however, for China to wait until we weaken Russia and then pounce on them?

Neither country has anything to gain from full scale open warfare, so it won't happen. But if it did:
We would re-institute the draft
We would withdraw from Iraq
It would draw in every country in Europe
It would begin World War III

we would kick there behinds so quickly before they signed there own declaration of war. Look at the conflict in georgia. That small state took out a dozen russian aircraft with there small and ill equipped military.
Russia always bluffs, thats was russians do. Remember the cold war? they kept advertising they had a strong military, when there tanks didnt even work. So same thing here they still havent modernized there military but are trying. look at how much the us spends on its military then compare that to russia, the stats are surprising! the russians wont use nukes because they know we have more nukes then them

Well, after the nukes had fallen and reduced most residential areas to nothing but bricks and dust, the military would start reassembling having taken shelter in fallout bunkers.
This is true of both western and eastern powers.
It may infact be in China's interests to secure land on the asian continent from the Russians in their weakened military state, where a steady influx of troops is assured depending on how many survivors can be found.
Anyone who does not die when the skies run aflame will find themselves either on the run from an armed force, or being part of one.
