apparently her feet were shaped differently then the ‘normal’ dancers feet at the time. because of this she changes her point shoes and now theyre better for everyone.

Anna Pavlova had smaller legs than most of the popular dancers at the time. There was a woman who she took the spot of while the woman was pregnant (Her name was Mathilde Kscheschinka, something impossible to spell)) and the woman was sure that she would have her spot when she came back because Anna's legs looked weak. But people loved her frailty. That's part of the reason that she was so popular as the Swan. Because her legs were so small, it was believable that she was dying. It wasn't as believable when the dancers had big strong legs.
Also, because her feet were a bit weaker than other dancers feet, she padded her pointe shoes so that they wouldn't be so hard and so that she could dance more freely. A lot of other dancers said that she was "cheating" but now, all pointe shoes are like that and they're much more comfortable than the old style.
