Question by natedawg008: When am I ready to read Dostoevsky? Which book of his is a good place to start?
I currently own Crime and Punishment, Notes From Underground, and The Brothers Karamazov.

I think Crime and Punishment is a good one to start with. Maybe that’s just because I did. I read Notes next and then Brothers and went from there. I guess I think either Notes or C&P for starters, though I am a big fan of Brothers too.

Read Notes from the Underground first because it is the shortest. It will familiarize you with Dostoevsky's style and subject of writing. You can reflect whether or not you want to read the others.

Notes from Underground is the shortest, easiest out of that bunch. I'd start there, then read Brothers Karamazov., then Crime and Punishment.
