Question by Magpie: Travel through Russia?
My husband is in Vladivostok. He travelled from the UK and has the correct Visa. The train started in Amsterdam and he has travelled across Russia to Vladivostok. The train did not stop at the Russian border, and he was not given a migration card, and there was no time to register his Visa. The question is what should he do now? Where can he register his Visa in Vladivostok? What happens if he has no migration card?
Failing that, anyone know how to send food parcels to Russian jails?

Don’t worry! your husband is not the one foreigner travelling by this international train. Did he ask a conductor about this problem?Actually migration card is not so important. It is More important to have a mark in the passport that u have crossed the border. Usually it is made by frontier guards during passport control.
Hope when I’m typing this all his problems have been resolved already.
Where he is going to stay in Vladivostok? Hotel administration will help him to register his visa(but border cross mark should be made by frontier guards).
Anyway, he should keep his train ticket and there will be no problems. Calm down.

Hi i'm an american living here in russia, as you can see on my photo.. Well about his visa registration, he won't go to jail.. I've made the same mistake i just paid a little fine. His migration card isn't a problem too, he just needs to tell them he doesn't have one. I've been thought this already. What kind of visa did he have or does he have? Trasit visas are not required by law to register, however (Homestay, business, etc) must be registered in 3 working days. If not its like a 50 to 100 dollar fine..
