Question by lidyex: Which major city has the best view of Volga?
Tver, Yaroslav, Nizhni, Kazan or ?
@K210, I was shocked with news, my question was just before that. I’m scared with local transportation in Russia! Though, kazan, seems interesting.

by the way, did you hear a ship sank today on Volga River, over 100 people including children missing, fear dead.
I am sure Kazan is interesting, it is just this crash occurred near it. These missing, are most likely, dead. What a tragedy….It is believed worse river accident in newest Russian history.

In every city on Volga they have beautiful embankments and views of Volga.
Everything depends on your taste.
And I would say that view is everywhere approximately the same – valley river and forest on the other side (except southern regions where instead of forest there is just plain steppe).
