Question by Robert: Why are so many countries against Russia for protecting the people from Georgias attack?
Why is everyone mad at Russia. They protected those provinces from Georgia’s attack. Why also is it wrong for those provinces to declare Independence like Kosova did? I’m an American but I do not see what Russia did as wrong.

People are mad because they get their news from propaganda outlets like Fox that tell them to be mad.
They have no idea what’s going on over there.
This is all about the Neocons trying to secure access to Caspian Sea oil.

Looting villages, murdering officials, and burning houses, is not "protecting the people." Russia is there to take control of the oil and gas pipeline and no more, no less.

I guess I look at this way: If an US state decided to "break away", like South Ossetia has, and another US state decided to send troops into the breakaway to deal with the secessionists, would it be alright for Canada to invade any US state?
To some, Georgia is dealing with an internal struggle that may or may not lead to civil war. Russia is another sovereign. Is it okay for Russia to take sides in Georgia's internal struggle to protect Russia's interests?
I'm not going to give my own opinion, but the countries complaining about Russia feel that Russia has no business in Georgia's affairs.

I agree, if this was the US or UK which had prevented the ethnic cleansing from the Georgian military they would be hero's.Since its the Russians not a word only criticism. Its childish and immature from our Govs. This conflict was over within a week.We have been in Iraq for the best part of a decade so who truly is the aggressors in the world !! 🙂

"By declaring the Caucasus, a region that is thousands of miles from the American continent, a sphere of its 'national interest,' the United States made a serious blunder."
