I would love to go to Russia, but it’s complicated with the visa and invitation requirement. If Russia wants more tourists, lighten up on the paperwork. I would have already visited if not for those complications. I went to Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia since they only required a passport.

I agree with what has been said above: I have been to Russia, and definitely want to go there again at some point, but the paperwork was awful – and I went as part of a group, which is easier. Also, while I appreciate the beauties and sights the country has to offer, I wasn't too thrilled about Putin's politics and have yet to see whether his successor is any better at allowing actual democracy and a free, critical press.

I't becomes more popular nowadays and many people want to visit Moscow and Saint's-Petersburg in Russia. As many people know the nature in Russia is more attractive. Maybe some of them think about high prices because in Moscow there are much higher to compare to Germany.

I've been to both Germany and Russia! I am Greek – Cypriot. You cannot image what l've been through to get a tourist visa for Russia. Man…it was hell with paper-work. That's the only problem. But in general l think Russia is a fantastic place to see!
